United Families and Friends Campaign’s annual procession to Downing Street
24 October 2014
Saturday 25th October 2014
Assemble Trafalgar Square 12 noon.
As always INQUEST will be marching alongside the families for the United Families and Friends Campaign’s annual procession to Downing Street. We will be walking to demand an end to deaths in custody and to show solidarity with those who have lost a relative in a custodial setting. Please join us and the families on Saturday at Trafalgar Sqare for the annual procession.
All participants are asked to wear black as a token of respect.
For more information about the day and its purpose, please see the United Families and Friends Campaign’s Facebook page.
‘My congratulations to all involved in this 30 year battle for disclosure [of the Cass report on the death of Blair Peach] … it was this awful state of affairs which led those of us who founded INQUEST to set it up. But it is mind-boggling to think that we were still arguing over this report 30 years later.’
– Terry Munyard, barrister at Garden Court Chambers and founding member of INQUEST
