INQUEST Family Listening Days bring together bereaved families to share your experiences of a relative’s death involving the state, and the investigations, inquests and other processes that followed.
They give families the chance to explain, in your own words, the impact of your loved these systems, what went wrong, and what needs to change so that no one else goes through the same.
Listening Days are commissioned by public bodies, policymakers and oversight organisations who want to hear directly from families about the impact of state failings and the lessons that must be learned.
If you want to learn from the experiences of other families, or understand the themes that come up again and again, this is a good place to start.
*As and when a relevant Listening Day is commissioned, INQUEST will contact families whose experiences are connected to the themes of that event, so you can choose whether you would like to take part. Participation is always voluntary, and we support families throughout the process.
