14 June 2022

On the 5th anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire, we join the Grenfell community, family and friends in remembrance of men, women and children killed on 14 June 2017.

We stand in solidarity with the community, who have shown unshakeable strength and courage in leading the fight for justice and demanding systemic change. They have continued to fight through the most difficult of circumstances to honour their loved ones.

Five years on, it is unacceptable that no corporate bodies nor individuals have been held accountable for this preventable fire, forewarned by residents.

The piecemeal approach and failure to implement recommendations means people are still living in buildings wrapped in flammable materials, with the ever present risk of death.

There must be accountability, justice, and long-lasting meaningful change, to honour the lives taken and to prevent future deaths.

Grenfell, forever in our hearts.
