IAN TOMLINSON INQUEST – CORONER SUMMING UP TODAY AND ALLOWING THE JURY TO CONSIDER UNLAWFUL KILLING VERDICT

 

Judge Peter Thornton QC, sitting as HM Assistant Deputy Coroner for the City of London, is today summing up in the inquest into the death of 47 year old Ian Tomlinson. The coroner has announced that he will allow the jury to consider a verdict of unlawful killing. Other possible verdicts he will allow are misadventure; natural causes; or an open verdict.

The jury is expected to deliver its verdict next week, on or after Tuesday 3 of May, the next day the court sits.
